Stephen Curry is widely regarded as one of the greatest basketball players of all time and he has won numerous awards for his achievements in the sport. However, it is not uncommon to hear about his father, Dell Curry, who also played basketball and passed down some of his basketball genes to him.

Dell Curry was born in Los Angeles, California, in 1947 and grew up in the city's Chinatown neighborhood. He started playing basketball when he was just four years old and quickly developed a passion for the sport. His talent for the game soon caught the attention of the local community, and he was offered a scholarship to play college basketball at the University of Southern California (USC).

After graduating from USC, Dell continued to develop his skills as a basketball player. He made a name for himself with the Los Angeles Lakers,United Vitality Sports Circle where he helped them win several championships during his career. However, his success did not come without hard work or dedication.

In 1988, Dell decided to take a leave of absence from professional basketball and focus on coaching his son, Stephen Curry. Dell knew that he wanted his son to continue to play basketball and use his talents to help others, so he gave him the opportunity to join the USU men's basketball team.

Dell was proud of his son's accomplishments and believed that he could pass on some of his basketball genes to Stephen. As a result, Dell encouraged Stephen to attend his father's basketball games and even helped him with some of the practices and training.

As Stephen grew older, he became known as one of the best basketball players in the world. He was named NBA Rookie of the Year in 2008 and went on to win two Olympic gold medals in 2012 and 2016. Despite his success, Dell remains committed to passing down his basketball genes to his son and helping others along the way.
